What this calculator estimates

Enter your combined family income, number of dependent children, ages, and care arrangement — the calculator estimates your Family Tax Benefit Part A (per child, income-tested) and Part B (per family, secondary-earner tested) entitlements for 2025–26. Results are estimates only; your actual entitlement is confirmed by Services Australia after you lodge your tax return.

FTB and CCS — why model them together

Both Family Tax Benefit and Child Care Subsidy are assessed against the same ATI figure. A salary rise, bonus, salary packaging arrangement, or EV novated lease changes ATI and can affect both payments at once. Modelling FTB alongside CCS gives the full picture of your family support entitlements and helps you avoid an unexpected end-of-year debt in either payment.

How results are confirmed

FTB is paid during the year based on an income estimate. After you and your partner both lodge your tax returns, Services Australia performs end-of-year balancing — comparing your estimated income with your actual ATI. Any difference results in a top-up payment or a debt. The FTB annual supplement (up to $916.15 per child for Part A; up to $459.90 per family for Part B) is held back until balancing is complete.
