The maximum CCS rate is 90% for families with combined Adjusted Taxable Income of $85,279 or less. The rate tapers as income rises and phases out at $535,279. The government hourly fee cap for centre-based day care is $14.63 per hour. From 5 January 2026, the 3-Day Guarantee means all eligible families receive at least 72 hours of subsidised care per fortnight — regardless of their activity test result.
Your activity test result determines the maximum hours of subsidised care per fortnight. Families who work, study, train or do other approved activities for 48 or more combined hours per fortnight can access up to 100 hours. The 3-Day Guarantee (from 5 January 2026) ensures a minimum of 72 hours per fortnight for all eligible families, including those on parental leave.
