Independent Child Care Subsidy calculator for Australian families — updated March 2026
CCS Checker AU is an independent, family-run estimation tool for Australian families navigating the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) system. We are not part of the Australian Government, Services Australia, or Centrelink — we are a private service that builds calculators and guides to help families understand what their subsidy entitlements might look like before and after tax time.
The tool covers CCS estimates, Family Tax Benefit (FTB) estimates, Paid Parental Leave (PPL) planning, EV novated lease impact on CCS, and a library of over 40 plain-English guides on subsidy rules.
Many questions are answered immediately in our self-service resources. These are faster than waiting for an email reply:
For questions about your official CCS rate, Centrelink assessments, or payment history, please contact Services Australia directly — they have access to your account and can give definitive answers.
Questions about how the calculator works, technical issues with the site, premium feature access, refund requests, and feedback on our estimates or guides.
Your official CCS entitlement, Centrelink account queries, actual payment amounts, debt recovery, myGov issues, or appeals of Services Australia decisions.

We aim to respond within 1–2 business days. We are a small independent team, so responses may take longer during busy periods or around the end of the financial year.
Please include your browser name and version, device type (phone/tablet/desktop), and a description of what you see. A screenshot is very helpful.
Include the email address you used at checkout and the approximate date and time of payment. We can usually resolve access issues within a few hours.
Please include your payment confirmation email or transaction ID. See our Refund Policy for full details. Most refund requests are processed within 3–5 business days.
CCS Checker AU produces range-based estimates using the published 2025–26 rules. Differences can arise from income rounding, withholding rates, bonus-hour allocation, or information Centrelink holds that the calculator doesn't. Our methodology guide explains exactly how we calculate.
We appreciate corrections. Please quote the guide URL and the specific section that needs updating. We review guide accuracy after each Budget and policy update.
We welcome feature requests. Tell us what you were trying to work out and why existing tools didn't cover it — that context helps us prioritise.
